Summer Spectacular – back for 2016!

Summer Spectacular Sun Logo The heady days of summer may seem to be a distant memory as autumn turns to winter but who can forget the Hawkinge Summer Spectacular on the green and in the centre last July? And the great news is – we are doing it again this year and promise to make it even more fun and even more spectacular.
This year’s Summer Spectacular will take place on Sunday 17th July and we already have some great attractions lined up. The Blue Falcons Gymnastic Display team who astonished the crowds with their skills, speed and strength will be back as will the ever popular Strongest Man competition and the Birds of Prey from the Hawkin Centre. Altantis Entertainment will keep the younger visitors happy and the Bug Roadshow returns to educate and entertain.
New attractions for 2016 include 4Front Wrestling demonstrations, Bee-Keeping displays from Beechelle and a visit from the Blean Beagles.
Food and drink will again be plentiful and varied with Godmersham Game, Besborough Farm Fruit and Veg and Goodchilds Bakers amongst those already lined up.
We still have room for a few more so if you, your company or organisation would like to set up stall or join in the entertainment contact Hawkinge Community Centre boss and Summer Spectacular organiser Colin Tearle. But hurry as space is fast running out.
